Meet Wanda Walker
Educator. Entrepreneur. Community Advocate. A Game Changer.
Wanda Walker's commitment to children and community began in West Philadelphia
where she grew up watching her father give back to his neighborhood and teach children the importance of creating multiple streams of income.
Inspired by his example, Wanda developed a lifelong passion for education, entrepreneurship, community service, and helping others recognize their potential.
As the first college graduate in her family, Wanda earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lincoln University, the nation’s first degree-granting historically Black college and university (HBCU). Her education became a foundation for pursuing her goals and honoring the promises she made to her parents.
Armed with professional opportunities and an entrepreneurial spirit, Wanda worked two full-time jobs to create the financial foundation for her future. At a young age, she began investing in multi-unit real estate properties, with the goal of providing affordable housing in communities that needed it most.
With the support of her former husband and their three children, Wanda’s commitment to entrepreneurship, education, and generational wealth has become a driving force behind her work.
Today, her work spans early childhood education, real estate, community leadership, and advocacy. Through these endeavors, Wanda continues to champion a vision of Philadelphia where children are empowered, families have opportunities to prosper, and communities have a voice in their future.
A Legacy Beyond Dollars and Cents
Wanda believes that true wealth extends beyond financial success. It is also measured by the confidence we instill in children, the encouragement we give one another, and the opportunities we create for future generations.
Her greatest hope is to leave a legacy of people who are not afraid to stand up for what is right, speak up when their communities need them, and become the game changers who shape a better future.
